I have a clarins eyeliner and i've tried to sharpen it ?

I got a expensive clarins eyeliner, and i've sharpened it and it is destroyed ? Would you have to use a proper makeup sharpener to make sure it works. Also have any of you had this experience with a clarins eyeliner pencil.

I have just one clarins eyeliner and I have a good experience with it. Maybe this is not your case, but sometimes when its hot and you have your make up with you or you have your make up in some place where it can get hot, it can melt a little and become very fragile and easy to destroy.
